Message for potential new clients:
A. We can help you navigate through both the On-Exchange and Off-Exchange health plans to highlight the better values. On-Exchange is the official healthcare.gov website. To get a premium subsidy, we have to work through www.healthcare.gov. We represent most of the 2016 ACA health plans offering coverage in Gila County. Our wide access to many different companies makes it much easier for you.
We’re compensated by the insurance company if we find a plan that’s a good fit for you. You never pay any extra premium to utilize our expertise.
B. We can help you apply for a Federal Income Based Subsidy if you feel you may qualify. Income is based on the MODIFIED ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME. It’s the total household income, including social security income and income on tax free municipal bond investments. Click here for a Subsidy Estimate Calculator. Note, if your income is below 133% of the Federal Poverty Level, you will not qualify for an Affordable Care Act plan. You will need to apply through Medicaid. Contact your local hospital for assistance.
C. We can help make clear why a lower premium plan might be a good choice, but could also end up being a much more expensive plan in the end. As licensed insurance brokers, we can also discuss insurance company financial solvency, complaint records, and other relative issues. If you use a Navigator, they cannot give insurance advice or help you compare plans. The same is true if you apply by telephone to the healthcare.gov marketplace. In addition, licensed insurance brokers undergo extensive background checks. “Navigators” do not. Your personal information deserves the utmost care and caution.
D. We want to make sure you’re aware of the power of Health Savings Account plans. To qualify to open an HSA, you have to get a qualified HSA plan. For example, Co-pay plans are NOT HSA qualified.
E. For Rim Country clients, we have a convenient office behind Fargo’s Steakhouse. For clients in other parts of Arizona, we can assist using telephone and internet. Just call for your appointment.
“I know it all sounds complicated, but we’ve already helped many people get a much wider view of the choices, the downsides of given plans, and the different approaches and opportunities. The plan and company that’s right for your neighbor, may not be the one that works best for you.” Tom Russell (928) 474.1233 * (800) 745.3570
